Junior Update (mid August)

We have been very lucky with the weather which has stayed warm and dry for our last competitions held at South Moor and Bishop Auckland Golf Clubs.

Congratulations to Zara Alexander (Eaglescliffe) who won the Appleby Bowl competition

And to Erin Goodfellow (Consett) who won the Appleby Bowl Stableford

Clement Trophy

Some very good golf was played at Bishop Auckland on Monday 20th August. 4 girls took part in the semi-finals and final of the Clement Trophy. The eventual winner was Laura Alexander (Eaglescliffe). Our thanks go to to the Bishop Auckland Lady Captain, Barbara Veal, who presented the prizes.

    Very well done to all the girls who took part.          

 

Wee Wonders

Congratulations to Zara Alexander (Eaglescliffe)and Amelia Lynn (Houghton-le-Spring) who have both made it through to the Wee Wonders Grand Final at St Andrews, the ‘Home of Golf’ on 25th and 26th August.

Amelia - one of our youngest players - was playing at Durham City Golf Club  in the Durham County Golf Partnership, Junior Tour.

Durham County Golf Partnership – Junior Golf Tour

3 girls have qualified to represent Durham when they play Cumbria and Northumberland in the triangular match at Carus Green Golf Club on September 1st

Amelia Lynn (Houghton-le-Spring), Bethany Cornish (Whickham) and Alice Henderson (Durham)
