Thursday April 12th :- Lindsay Curry (Wearside Golf Club) won the DCJGS Spring Meeting at Whitburn Golf Club girls’ competition with a net 70. This is the first qualifying event for the Race to Rockcliffe. Well done!

Friday 13th April :- The British Heart Foundation Competition was held at Castle Eden Golf Club. Over £3500 was raised on the day by a total of eleven teams.

The format of the competition was singles Stableford, best two scores from three players. Castle Eden were tied on 38 points with Middlesborough Municipal, meaning that the third player's score came into play. Aimee, playing in the second last group, did not let her team down, amassing 38 points , to take the competition by two points. Congratulations to Aimee and the rest of the team James and Thomas Harbord.

Three junior girls from Hartlepool Golf Club raised £563.50 in sponsorship money  for this event. Their efforts have meant they also have gained a place in the final at Close House. Very well done to Brittany Hill, Shannon O’Dwyer and Amy Sutheran.

We wish both teams every success when they play at Close House on 9th July.
