Northern Jamboree 2012 - Durham Juniors 2nd

Durham Team (All players have to be aged under 18 and have a handicap of no less than 15)

Aimee Goodlad, (Castle Eden Golf Club), Briony Bayles, (Bishop Auckland Golf Club), Zara Alexander, (Eaglescliffe & District Golf Club), Erin Goodfellow, (Consett & District Golf Club), Lindsay Curry, (Wearside Golf Club), Gabrielle Dickinson, (Durham City Golf Club)

Durham's young players finished second in the Northern Girls' Jamboree at the City of Newcastle GC. After the Stableford on the first day the girls were placed second with Lancashire. They did not disappoint in the match play on the second day, Lindsay, Briony and Zara won their matches; Gabrielle halved her match and Amy and Erin, although they lost,  gained  valuable points for Durham as they were only beaten towards the end of their games. The result was that Durham maintained their second place.

Aimee Goodlad (Castle Eden) is to be congratulated for winning the gross prize for the Stableford competition.  

The winners of the Jamboree  were Cheshire,.
